Lindekugel, Donna May (11 AUG 1951)

Miss Donna May Lindekugel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Lindekugel, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), and Eugene Lucht, Spencer, were united in marriage during a nuptial ceremony performed at high noon, Saturday, August 11, 1951, in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, by the Rev. Elmer Aalto.

During the ceremony, Mrs. Romaine Rossow sang "Oh Promise Me" and "The Lord’s Prayer," with Dorothy Capelle as the organist.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, was gowned in a dress of imported Swiss organdy designed with a bisque bodice, a collar of rose point lace, and a row of pearl buttons that extended from the collar to the waistline in the front.  The bouffant skirt, which was also styled with rose point lace, fell in a long cathedral train.  Her full circular imported illusion net veil edged with lace fell from a Juliet cap made of matching lace and seed pearls.  She carried a cascade bouquet of white gladioli and pompons center with an orchid.

Preceding the bride down the aisle were her three attendants, Arla Lindekugel, the bride’s only sister, as maid of honor and Janice Alexander, Owen, and Mrs. Gerald Lucht, Spencer, as bridesmaids.  Miss Lindekugel was dressed in white while the others wore aqua taffeta gowns designed with Peter Pan collars and cap sleeves.  Tehir gauntlets and picture hats matched their gowns, and each carried a cascade bouquet of yellow gladioli and pompons tied with aqua ribbon.

Gerald Lucht, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lucht, served his only brother as best man.  Alan Voight, Mayville, cousin of the groom, and Dale Lindekugel, Loyal, only brother of the bride, were groomsmen.  Ushering for the ceremony were James Voight, Loyal, the groom’s cousin, and Horace Lindekugel, Watertown, cousin of the bride.

For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Lindekugel was attired in a black crepe dress with pink accessories, while the groom’s mother selected a royal blue satin dress with beige accessories.  Each wore a corsage of yellow and orchid pompons.

A dinner was served in the church parlors and a buffet supper for 150 guests was served at the home of the bride’s parents.

The bride, a graduate of the Loyal High School, was employed at the Thorp Finance Corp., Thorp, before her marriage, and her husband, who attended the Loyal High School, is engaged in farming on route 2, Spencer, where the couple will reside.  They are now on a wedding trip to Indiana, Connecticut, and the East Coast.

Guests at the wedding were from Marion, Ind., Davis and Woodstock, Ill.; Elcador, Iowa; Madison, Watertown, Park Falls, Milwaukee, Kenosha, Hartford, Two Rivers, butternut, Thorp, Marshfield, Edgar, Spencer, Seymour, Unity, Stratford, Durand, Clintonville and Greenwood.
