Earhart, Mary E. (8 APR 1951)

In a pretty spring ceremony which took place on Sunday afternoon, April 8, 1951, at the Grant Avenue Methodist Church in Denver, Colo., Miss Mary Ellen Earhart became the bride of Roger Darton Niehoff, son of Mrs. Marcel Ketchpaw of Bloomer, Wis., and grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Darton of Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.).  The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. George E. Berry, and was followed by a reception in the church parlors.

The bride, who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Earhart of Denver, Colo., was given in marriage by her father.  She was attended by Miss Nancy Huse of Chicago, as maid of honor, and the bridesmaids were Miss Eileen Loomis of Canon City, Colo., and Miss Pauline TeSelle of Denver.

Mr. Frank Cummings of Denver was the bridegroom’s best man, and Mr. George Masunaga and Mr. George Kropp, both of Lowry Air Force Base, Denver, ushered.

Out of town guests included the groom’s mother, Mrs. Marcel Ketchpaw of Bloomer, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. James H. Pittenger of Los Angeles, Calif., Dr. Cecelia R. Earhart of Toledo, Ohio, and Mrs. H. A. Loomis of Canon City, Colo.

The former Miss Earhart is a graduate of the University of Colorado, and is attached to the Medical Unit at Lowry Air Force Base, Denver.

After a short honeymoon to Salt Lake City, the couple will reside in Denver.
