Wehling, Martha #2 (23 FEB 1884 - 25 JAN 1951)

 

Mrs. Gust Wehling, 66, Marshfield, died at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Thursday, Jan. 25, 1951 at 6 a.m.  Death was attributed to heart trouble.  She had been in poor health the past 8 years.

 

Mrs. Wehling, the former Martha Raabe, was born Feb. 23, 1884, in Reeseville, Dodge Co., where she married Gust Wehling, Sept. 15, 1910.  For some years they lived on a farm near Spokeville.  In 1945, they moved to Marshfield.

 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27 at the Rembs Funeral Home, the Rev. Charles E. Witt, pastor of Trinity English Lutheran Church, Marshfield, officiating.  Burial was made in the Loyal Lutheran Cemetery.

 

She is survived by her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Art (Verna) Schuster, Crystal Lake, Ill.; Mrs. Earl (Adeline) Killer, Beloit, and Mrs. Vila Steiner, Broadhead; one son, Walter, Argyle, Minn.; nine grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Ida) Bluemke, Horicon; and Mrs. Gust Haslow, Loyal.

 

One brother preceded her in death.

 

Pallbearers were Walter Widman, William Sautner, John Schreindl, John Raymond, Martin Arndt, and Clifford Reeths.

 

Out of town people at the services were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Koller, Beloit; Mr. and Mrs. Art Schuster, Crystal Lake, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wehling, Argyle, Minn.; Mrs. Vila Steiner and family, Brodhead; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bluemke and family, Horicon; Mr. and Mrs. Gust Haslow, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wehling, Dolly Wehling, Elsie Herdrich, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Witt, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Haslow, Mr. and Mrs. August Witt, Albert Witt, Mr. and Mrs. William Kuse, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Haslow and John and Edwin Haslow, Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Rohde, Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Wehling, Mr. and Mrs. John Karau, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Haslow, Spencer; Mrs. Herman Montag and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Steffen, Chili.
