Harless, Nelda (25 NOV 1950)

Mrs. Nelda Harless and Maj. F. L. Ashley of Chippewa Falls, were married on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 25, 1950, in the home of the bride’s brother and sister-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. R.J. Rossow, in Evansville, Ind.

Mrs. Ashley is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Julius H. Rossow of Loyal.  Major Ashley, a retired air force officer, is the son of Mrs. T. E. Ashley of Edison, Ga.

The Rev. Dr. Matthew C. Cabell of the First Presbyterian Church in Evansville, officiated at the candlelight ceremony in the presence of the immediate family.

Vows were exchanged before the living room fireplace, with white chrysanthemums and tall white tapers forming the mantel decorations.

The bride wore an afternoon dress of Copenhagen blue crepe and satin, with white chrysanthemum corsage.

Dr. and Mrs. Rossow were the only attendants.  Mrs. Rossow wore an afternoon dress of cocoa crepe, with a corsage of mums in bronze tones.

A wedding dance followed in the Spence Tea Room, near Henderson, Ind.

Major and Mrs. Ashley left for Chippewa Falls, where they will make their home.

The Loyal Tribune join their many friends in wishing them a long and happy journey through life.
