Jingle, Walter Jr. (16 August 1931 - 26 August 2010)

 

Walter Jingle, Jr., 79, of the Town of Dewhurst, (Clark County) rural Merrillan, died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2010, at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Tomah. 

 

Walter was born Aug. 16, 1931 in Chicago, IL, to Walter and Rose (Novak) Jingle.

 

Walter spent several years as a clerk at the Merrillan Post Office.

 

Walter is survived by two sisters, Darlene (Donald) Ariel of Chicago and Rose Marie Jingle of Round Lake, IL.  He is further survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

Walter was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Richard and one sister Margaret ‘Peggy’ Johnson.

 

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at Merrillan United Methodist Church with Rev. Meg Erickson officiating.  Burial was held in Oakwood Cemetery in Merrillan.

 

Friends were invited to call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home in Hixton and one hour prior to services at the church Tuesday.
