Horst, Shirley (10 April 1957 - 14 October 1984)

 

Loyal - Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rinka Funeral home, Loyal, for Mrs. Shirley Horst, 27, of Argonne, formerly of Loyal. She died after she fell out of a pickup truck, north of Argonne, at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

 

The Rev. Paul E. Nelson of Free Methodist Church, Loyal, will officiate.  Burial will be in the Town of Beaver Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home until the time for services.

 

The former Shirley Stowe was born April 10, 1957 in Marshfield, a daughter of Glenn Stowe of Edgar and Mrs. Lorraine (Anger) Arndt of Loyal. She attended Loyal High School.  In 1973 in Illinois she was married to Neil Horst.  They later divorced.  She resided in Wausau for six years and had lived in Argonne the past two months.

 

Surviving besides her parents are a son, Neil Horst Jr. of Stevens Point; her step-mother, Mrs. Cecelia Stowe of Edgar; two brothers, David Stowe of Loyal and Glen Stowe Jr. of Wausau; maternal grandfather, Arnold Anger of Owen; three half-brothers, Doug Lloyd of Spencer and Rufus and Jim Stowe, both of Edgar; a step-brother, John Brandenburg of Wausau; and a step-sister, Mrs. Tom (Marie) Fleisner of Marshfield.
