This vicinity was shocked to hear the sad news of the death of Mrs. Martain.

Mesdames Cornest and Wilber called on Mrs. T. Coughlin Sunday.

Mr. Pflughoeft had the misfortune to lose one of his cows.

Hazel Apfel is employed in the Republican & Press office.

Mr. Witt had lightning rods put on his house and Mr. Coughlin had his barn rodded last week.

Mrs. H. Carl’s relatives returned home last week.

Mr. Pflughoeft is laying a cement floor in his cellar.
