Wilcox, Jeffrey #2 (31 MAY 1961-07 JULY 2010)

Jeffrey G. Wilcox, 49, Greenwood, died unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, July 7, 2010. A memorial service was held at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, July 14, at Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood. Rev. Kevin Hanke officiated.

Jeffrey George Wilcox was born on May 31, 1961, in Milwaukee, to George H. and Mary L. (nee Kircher) Wilcox. He was raised along the North Shore of Milwaukee and attended Nicolet High School in Glendale. He then enrolled in Milwaukee Area Technical College, where he studied small engine repair and auto mechanics, and he also attended Waukesha County Technical College, where he received his certification in CNC machining. He married Deborah L. Benavides on Oct. 4, 1991, in Waukesha. He worked as a CNC machinist in the Milwaukee area until moving to Greenwood in 1998; He then worked for Freedom Heating and Cooling, Thorp, where he was certified in HVAC, until the time of his death. He had many interests, but especially loved fishing, spending nights around the campfire with his family, deer hunting, and playing practical jokes. He was quick to crack a joke and always expected one in return.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Deborah, Greenwood; three children, Riley and Caleb Wilcox, both at home, and Chentel Huf, Mayville; three step-children, Matthew Benavides, Howell, Mich., Rebecca (Barney) Lemanski, Appleton, and Rachel (Kurt) Stanich, Waukesha; two grandchildren, Destiny Lemanski and Zaiden Huf; three sisters, Tricia (David) Motte, Cedarburg, Wendy (Scott) Lees, Cedarburg, and Amy (Steve) Henderson, Menomonie; two nieces, Allison DeMarsh and Madeline Henderson; and four nephews, Andrew and Anthony Jazinski, John DeMarsh and Jack Henderson.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one grandson, Jasper Stanich, and one brother, Riley Wilcox.
