Hodnett, Martha (1 FEB 1956)

Mrs. Martha Hodnett, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), and Mr. Willard Patten, Stanley, were united in marriage at one o’clock Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 1, 1956, at the parsonage of the Church of the Brethren at Stanley with the Rev. Ernest Detrich, pastor of the parish, reading the ceremony.

Attending the couple were the bride’s daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Ruggles, Withee.

The couple will make their home on the bride’s farm located three miles east of Withee on Highway 29.

Sunday afternoon a reception for the couple was held for members of the immediate families at the home of the bride’s brother at Thorp, Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Nevela.

Among the guests attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Ed Nevela, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Nevela and children, Lynn, Nancy and Susan, Mr. and Mrs. James Ruggles and children, Patricia and David, all of Withee; Mrs. Arthur Vetterkind, Owen; Mr. Floyd Hodnett, Osceola; and Rev. and Mrs. Ernest Detrich and children, Barbara and David of Stanley.
