Emling, Ila Mae (08 MAY 1948)

 

At 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 8, Miss Ila Mae Bridell-Emling, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Emling of Loyal, and Wayne Nitz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Nitz of Thorp, were united in marriage at Trinity Lutheran church here, with a double-ring nuptial ceremony read by the Rev. J. C. Langholz.

 

The bride’s entrained was of traditional white satin, with long sleeves pointed at the wrists, a yoke of netting edged in lace, and a round neckline. Her lace edged, finger-tip veil was caught to an orange-blossom trimmed tiara. She carried a bouquet of white calla lilies and carnations.

 

Mrs. Mendus Western of Loyal, a sister of the bride, Mrs. Vernon LaMarche of Stanley, a sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Malletta Laabs of Milwaukee served as bridesmaids; Carol Jean Kessennich of Stanley was flower girl, and Miss Delores Laabs of Stanley attended as maid of honor.

 

The maid of honor wore a gown of pink Marquisette, sweetheart neckline, full skirt, matching blusher veil and long gloves. She carried yellow carnations. The briedesmaids’ gowns were styled like that of the maid of honor, one wearing aqua, one yellow and one pink. All wore long gloves and matching blusher veils. They carried bouquets of aqua, yellow, and pink carnations.

 

The flower girl wore a gown of dotted yellow Swiss, short puffed sleeves, round neckline and full skirt. She carried a basket bouquet of pink and white flowers.

 

Attending the groom were his brother, Herbert Nitz,as bst man; another brother, Alvin Nitz of Chippewa Falls, Mendus Western and Vernon La Marche, groomsmen; Arlen Mrotek of Loyal was ringbearer. The bride’s brother, LaVerne Emling, and Duane Mrotek, both of Loyal, were ushers.

 

About 70 guests attended the reception which followed the wedding ceremony.

 

Mrs. Nitz was graduated from the Stanley high school. Her husband, a veteran of 2 ½ years service in World War ll, is employed as a mason for the Ladysmith Milk Producers.

 

After a honeymoon in northern Wisconsin, they will make their home in Stanley.

 

Out of town guests at the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Charles Nitz and son, Herbert, of Thorp, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Cornwell of Greenwood, Mr. and Mrs. August Nitz, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Nitz and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Kees and family of Dancy, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Feit of Unity, Alvin Nitz of Chippewa Falls, Miss Edythe Emling of Stevens Point, Miss Marlette Laabs of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Emling of Rosholt, Miss Laura.....
