Hakola, Otto & Jenny (50th - 24 AUG 1957)

Mr. and Mrs. Otto Hakola were honored at a golden wedding celebration on the spacious lawn of their rural home Sunday afternoon.  The audience sang many songs in both languages.  Rev. John F. Saarinen led the devotions and spoke, Mr. Carl Hill spoke, Mrs. John F. Saarinen read the history and spoke in both languages.

Mrs. Hakola was presented with a beautiful corsage in gold and yellow and Mr. Hakola a boutonniere of yellow.  Mr. Otto Hakola was born in Finland, came to America to Sparta, Minn., in 1902; moved to Republic, Mich., in 1903; visited Finland in 1905.  Miss Jenny Mattson and Otto Hakola were married in Republic, Mich., Aug. 24, 1907, by the Rev.
