Withee, Wisconsin

 

Mr. and Mrs. Krom of Thorp were seen on our streets Sunday afternoon.

 

A.S. Armstrong of Hemlock came up last Monday to dispose of a fine driving horse.

 

Etta Tufts returned last Saturday night from a two weeks’ visit with friends at Neillsville.

 

Mrs. Harry Hogue of Greenwood was in town last Thursday, looking for an opening to start a restaurant.

 

Attorney Packer and Doctor K.W. Baker of Greenwood were in town on professional business last Friday.

 

The Withee Clothing and Shoe Co. are having their store enlarged this week. Contractor Madsen is doing the work.

 

Wm. Wessenberg, the house mover, was in town last Sunday. He is going to move the post office building this week or next.

 

Contractor Madsen is stocking up his lumber yard on the north side. Last week he bought several thousand feed from Henry LaGault.

 

Jennie Nielsen was operated on for appendicitis Friday. She is doing finely and gaining fast. The operation was performed by Dr. C.S. Nielsen, assisted by Dr. K.W. Baker and E.E. Nielsen.
