A party was given in honor of A.C. Nielsen and wife last Friday evening by their relatives and friends.

Cashier Tufts has been under the weather a few days this week. C.M. Hall of Owen helped him out in the bank.

An infant child of Mr. Borgeman’s died last Sunday. The corpse was taken to Curtiss Monday noon for burial.

 C. Madsen sold eighteen thousand brick to M. Funk last Monday. Mr. Funk expects to put up a nice brick building as soon as spring comes.

A.C. Nielsen and wife of Junction City, Oregon, who have been visiting their children here for the past six weeks, left Sunday for their home.

The minstrel show and dance given by the K.O.T.M. [Knights of the Maccabees] at Owen last Saturday evening was the best ever had. Great credit is due Mrs. C.M. Hall who had charge of the minstrels for several weeks.
