Bauer, Alberta Mae (29 NOV 1947)

The Rev. Fr. Aloys Zinthefer was celebrant at the nuptial high mass in St. Anthony’s Catholic church here on Saturday, Nov. 29, when Alberta Mae Bauer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Bauer of Loyal, and Henry A. Trampush, son of Mr. and mrs. Frank Trampush Sr., of Greenwood, exchanged wedding vows at an 8:30 a.m. service.

The Bride’s sister, Miss Arlene Bauer, was maid of honor, and her cousin, Gerald Bauer, was best man. Another cousin, Miss Doris Bauer and Vincent Braun also attended the bridal couple.

The bride’s gown of white satin was fashioned with a fitted bodice, long train and lace insertions. Her full length veil was caught to a seed pearl headdress. She carried a bouquet of white pompoms and baby mums. Her pearl necklace was a gift of the groom.

Her attendants were dressed in rose colored taffeta gowns, with bustle backs, and matching headdresses. They carried hand bouquets of red and white carnations.

A reception following the ceremony was held at the home of the bride’s parents, and dinner and supper were served to about 30 guests. That evening a wedding dance was held at the Merry Ol’ Gardens, near Longwood.

The couple is now ay home on the groom’s farm on route one, Greenwood, after returning from a wedding trip to Chicago and Milwaukee.

To the newlyweds, The Loyal Tribune extends its wishes for a long and happy married life.
