visiting his brother L.G.
Leavitt Phillips of Tioga bought a
valuable horse of Mead Bros. the 24th.
T.M. Alexander and daughter, Jennie, went
to LaCrosse Tuesday to visit for a few days.
Gordon Campbell and Leo Root went to
Columbus Tuesday to work in the canning factory.
Miss Gertrude Kennedy returned home
Monday from Milwaukee where she has been teaching.
J.F. Schmidt is home for a few
weeks’ visit from Macedon, N.Y., where he has been
Kenneth Austin has purchased the North
Side soda and ice cream parlor and will operate it this
Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Decker left yesterday
for Waterloo, Iowa, to attend a reunion of the Decker
Harry Creviston of Topenish, Wash. is
here for a visit. Mrs. Creviston has been here for the past
Jos. Bass and T.J. McCalvy returned home
last week from Winnipeg, Canada, where they have been working this
Miss Lydia Brandt of Chicago is here
visiting her parents, Rev. and Mrs. Brandt. She was
accompanied by Miss Lena Zuttermeister.
Louie Cornist built an addition onto Mr. Plummer’s barn and painted it. Mr. Plummer also had his house painted which greatly improves the place.
