Brownell, Marjorie  09 AUG 1947

The Racine Methodist church was the scene on Saturday evening, Aug. 9, of the marriage of Miss Marjorie Ann Brownell of Grand View, Minn., to Duane W. Wolfgram, son of Mr. and Mrs. Zara Wolfgram of Racine, Minn.

Before an altar decorated with garden flowers and candelabra, the Rev. Stanley R. Williams, assisted by the Rev, Wesley R. Miller of the Racine Evangelical church, read the double-ring service.

Traditional wedding music was played by Miss DeLores Ann Doten, a cousin of the bride. She accompanied Miss Elizabeth Huslegard, who sand "Because" and "I Love You Truuly."

The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown which had a lace bodice, puffed sleeves and an organza skirt over taffeta. A lace peplum extended down the back to a short train. Her imported illusion veil, which fell from a lace tiara, was of finger-tip length. She wore a pearl necklace, a gift of the groom, and carried a bouquet of red roses and fever few.

Miss Olive Brownell, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Miss Marilyn and Dorothy Brownell, also her sisters. All three wore identical dresses of Turquoise taffeta, with overskirt of marquisette and carried bouquets of gladioli and fever few.

The flower girl was Miss Dorothy Murray, a cousin of the bride. She wore white dotted swiss and carried a bouquet of pink carnations and fever few.

Philip Wolfgram, a brother of the groom served as best man. The ushers were Ronald Wolfgram, another brother, and Marvin Eppard, a cousin.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church hall for the guests.

The bride graduated from Stewartville (Minn.) high school and from Stout Institute at Menomonie. She taught home economics in the Loyal high school last year. The groom is also a graduate of Stewartville high school. He saw service in the army for a little over three years and was stationed in California and Panama.

After a short wedding trip, the bridal couple will be at home near Racine after Aug. 23.

To the newlyweds, The Loyal Tribune extends its wishes for a long and happy married life.
