Firnstahl, Mary Jane (14 JUNE 1947)

 

At 8 o’clock Saturday night, June 14, at the First Presbyterian church in Oshkosh, Mary Jane Firnstahl became the bride of Robert B. Oleson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Oleson of Oshkosh. The Rev. James A. Dunn officiated.

 

For her wedding, the bride was attired in a white semi-tailored suit and had a white cloche hat. Her accessories were also in white, and she carried a nosegay of valley lilies, centered with a white gardenia. She was given in marriage by her uncle, Hal Voight.

 

The altar table was backed by palms, candelabra and bouquets of white gladioli and lilacs. The aisle was lined with bridal wreath and white satin ribbon.

 

As the bride’s only attendant, Mrs. Richard Oleson, a sister-in-law of the groom, was attired in a black and white suit and hat. Richard Oleson was best man, and George Oleson and Burton Keefe ushered.

 

Mrs. Henry Schomer, aunt of the bride was attired in pastel blue, and Mrs. Oleson, the bridegroom’s mother, wore pink. Both had gardenia corsages.

 

Walter Crawford played organ selections preceding and during the ceremony and accompanied Richard Hansen, who sang "Always," "Because" and "The Lord’s Prayer.’

 

Following the ceremony, guests were received at the home of Mrs. Schomer.

 

When the couple left for a two week trip to Denver, Col., and surrounding scenic spots, the bride was wearing a yellow suit with brown accessories and wore the gardenia from her bridal bouquet.

 

Mrs. Oleson is employed by the Boston Store in Oshkosh is employed by the Bergstrom Paper Company of Neenah. They will reside at 276 ½ Washington boulevard, Oshkosh, upon their return.

 

Guests were present from Neenah, Menasha and Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hahn, cousins of the bride, and their children, Tom and Judy, of Marshfield, and Mr. and Mrs. Hal Voight of Loyal, aunt and uncle of the bride, also attended the wedding.

 

To the newlyweds, The Loyal Tribune extends its wishes for a long and happy married life.
