A very pretty June wedding was solemnized at the Grace Methodist church in Greenwood on June 14, when Miss Audrey M. Haeuser, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George H. Haeuser of Greenwood became the bride of Wilbue Kehrberg of Loyal. The Rev. Lee H.Holmes officiated at the double ring ceremony.

 

The church was decorated with baskets of garden flowers. Preceding the ceremony, Miss Dorothy Cowles of Loyal sang "I Love You Truly,: and during the service "Oh Promise Me," accompanied by Mrs. William Olson at the piano.

 

The bride who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of mousseline de sois, with a long train. Her bodice was of satin, with a seed pearl neckline and long sleeves. Her long net veil, trimmed with lace, fell from a pearl headdress. She wore a string of pearls, a gift of the groom. Her colonial bouquet was centered with a white orcid, surrounded by gardenias and white sweet peas.

 

Miss Beverly Haeuser, sister of the bride, as maid of honor, wore a yellow taffeta gown, with net skirt and blusher to match. Her bouquet, colonial style of yellow, pink and aqua carnations surrounded by yellow maline.

 

Mrs. Garth Haeuser, sister-in-law of the bride, and Mrs. Leonard Thiede, a friend, as bridesmaids, wore gowns of aqua and pink respectively, styled as that worn by the maid of honor, with blushers to match their gowns and with colonial bouquets the same as carried by the maid of honor, surrounded by aqua and pink maline to match their gowns.

 

Darlene and Nan, Jean Hales of Loyal, as junior bridesmaids, wore floor length gowns of white dotted swiss, with matching blushers and corsages of pink, yellow and aqua carnations, for their aunt’s wedding. Darlene carried a white Bible, on which rested the wedding rings. Nan Jean carried a basket of rose petals, which she scattered before the bride. The groom was attended by Arnold Anderson of Loyal, a friend, as groomsman. Garth and Leonard Thiede were ushers..

 

Following the wedding, a reception was held at the bride’s home, and a 5 o’clock dinner was served in the Methodist church parlors to relatives and a few friends.

 

They left immediately following the dinner for Colorado to visit the groom’s brother.

 

The bride is a graduate of the Greenwood high school with the class of 1942 and has been employed at the Palmer Vinger office and the Badger State Credit Company in Greenwood the past five years. The groom is a graduate of the Loyal high school with the class of 1039. He attended the LaCrosse State Teachers college and received his honorable discharge from the army in 1946, after serving 49 months.

 

The young couple will live in Loyal, where Mr. Kehrberg is employed in the store owned by his father.

 

Out of town guests at the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Orris Erickson and Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Erickson of Wausau, Mr. and Mrs. Verne Krakenberger and Mr. and Mrs. George Krakenberger and daughter, Arlene, of Medford, Mrs. Paul Skogsburg, Miss Natalie Skogsburg, Miss Dorothy Pitz and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Holands and daughter, Jeanne of Cedar Rapids, Ia., Mrs. Edgar Sorenson of Burlington, Mr. and Mrs. Belford Erickson and daughter of Stevens Point, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Wachter and daughters of Marshfield, and Mrs. P. Reynolds and Miss Vahla Klopf of Milwaukee of Neillsville.

 

To the newlyweds, the Loyal Tribune extends its wishes for a long and happy married life.
