Forester, Leona G. (Marriage - 26 October 1957)

The Congregational Church was the scene Saturday of the 4 p.m. wedding of Leona G. Forester of the Town of Hewett and Julius Martens, Aurora, Minn., formerly of Neillsville. Their parents are Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Meyer of Chicago and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Martens of Neillsville.  The Rev. Frank B. Harcey performed the candlelight single ring ceremony before an altar banked with rust-colored chrysanthemums.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a champagne lace dress with brown accessories.  Her bridal bouquet was of ivory and brown cymbidium orchids.

Mrs. Treva Quinnell was her matron of honor; attending the groom as best man was Otto Liskow of Milwaukee.  Two sons of the bride, Jack and Scott Forester, were ushers.

Following the ceremony a dinner for 50 guests was held at the Silver dome Supper club. A dance was held in the evening.

On their return from a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin, Mrs. Martens will return to the Town of Hewett, and Mr. Martens will resume his work on the taconite project at Aurora, Minn.

Mrs. Martens is a member of the Neillsville Moose Lodge and president of the Hewettville Mothers Club.

Relatives and friends from out of town here for the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Meyer, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Greenwich, Mr. and Mrs. John Klepek and daughter, all of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bush, Park Ridge, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. G. Rosenbaum, Madison; Mr. and Mrs. A.
