Opelt, Jennie (Marriage - 25 May 1957)

The Rev. Peter J. Leketas officiated at the wedding Saturday of Jennie Opelt and Bennie Urlaub. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Opelt, and the bridegroom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Frank Urlaub, all of Neillsville.

For the single ring ceremony at St. Mary’s Catholic Church the bride wore a lace over net dress, and carried a bouquet of white carnations. She was given in marriage by her father.

Her attendants were Miss Janis Urlaub, maid of honor, and Miss Dorothy Opelt, bridesmaid.  Attending the groom were Douglas Larsen and Howie Krause.  Ushers were Lee Steinhilber and Edward Schwellenbach.  Little Dennis Opelt and Janet Opelt served as ring bearer and flower girl.

Following the ceremony 300 guests attended the reception at the home of the bride.  The house was decorated in aqua and white with bouquets of honeysuckle, lily of the valley and lilacs.

On their return from a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin, the young couple will be at home on Neillsville Rt. 3.

The bride has been employed in Woodstock, Ill., and the groom has been engaged in farming.

Out of town relatives attending were: Mrs. Jennie Mack, Bill Mack, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Claucon, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Mack, all of Waupaca; Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Lautenbach, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Mack, Bill Opelt, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Schutte and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Opelt, Woodstock, Ill.
