Kissinger, Alma (21 November 1875 - 17 December 1956) 
 

Mrs. Philip Kissinger, 81, died at her home just south of Loyal Monday evening, December 17, 1956, at 8:30 o’clock. 
 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 20, from the Myre Funeral Home. Burial was made in the Loyal Cemetery. Rev. Ethel Nulton, Greenwood, officiated. 
 

The former Alma Davis was born in the Town of York, November 21, 1875.  Most of her life has been lived in this area.  Sixty two years ago she was married to Philip Kissinger in the Town of Sherman. They lived on a farm in the Town of Sherman for 29 years.  They had resided on the present farm for the past 10 years. 
 

She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America and the American Legion Auxiliary.  
 

She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Ed (Geneva) Tice, Rockford, Ill., Mrs. Emily Genett, Marshfield, and Mrs. Jack (Alberta) Teresenski, Oneida; a sister, Mrs. Martha Castner, Loyal; 22 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. 
 

Pallbearers were: Franklin Rueth, Frank Schwanke, Dan Wolters, Martin Verkilen, Albert Wehling and John Castner.  The hymns, "Beyond the Sunset" and "Abide with Me", were sung by Miss Nelda Foelske, with Mrs. Zepplin as organist.
