Bertrang, Joyce (Marriage - 22 September 1956) 
 

The Methodist Church of Neillsville was the setting Saturday of the wedding of Miss Joyce Bertrang, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Orville Bertrang of Neillsville, and Jon Wycliffe Swain, son of Mr. and Mrs. George C. Swain of Danville, Va. 
 

The Rev. Virgil Holmes performed the double ring ceremony in a candlelight service at 7:30 p.m. before an altar decorated with candelabra and green palms. 
 

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a white gown of Chantilly lace fashioned over layers of nylon tulle and white satin.  The gown was of chapel length with a fish-tail train of Chantilly lace.  The tight fitting bodice was fashioned with a Peter Pan collar and her fingertip veil fell from a crown tiara.  She carried a white prayer book on a red heart.  White stephanotis and trailing green ivy lay over the prayer book. 
 

Mrs. Carol (Thompson) Ayers of Kaukauna was her matron of honor.  Attending her as bridesmaid was Mrs. Mercedes (Sharratt) Duel of Eau Claire.  Wanda Palms was flower girl. 
 

The groom’s attendants were Richard Bertrang as bestman and Verley Lammon as groomsman.  Duane and Edgar Bertrang were ushers. 
 

On their return trip from a wedding trip to the southern states they will reside at 601 S. Marshfield, Chicago. 
 

The bride is a graduate of Luther School of Nursing and is employed at Cook County hospital in Chicago, while her husband is a graduate of the Coyle Electrical Engineering School and is a serviceman for the Victor Adding Machine Company.
