Holub, Lorraine (Marriage - 7 April 1956)

One hundred guests attended the wedding Saturday morning of Miss Lorraine Holub of Neillsville and Stanley Smagacz of City Point.  The Rev. Fr. Peter J. Leketas performed the double ring ceremony at 9 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

For her wedding the bride chose a dress of floor-length Chantilly lace net over white satin.  She carried a bouquet of tea roses, lilies and carnations.

She was attended by Mrs. Josephine Tomsyck as matron of honor and by Janice Walsh of Chicago and Mary Ann McCarty as bridesmaids.  Frank Smagacz of Chicago attended the groom as best man and groomsman was Louis Smagacz.

Little Darlene McCarty of Neillsville was flower girl.

A wedding reception was held in the church dining hall following the ceremony.  One hundred guests attended.  The hall was decorated in pink and white flowers and crepe paper.

After returning from a wedding trip to Chicago the couple will reside at 731 10th Ave. Wisconsin Rapids, where the groom is employed on the (G. B. & W.) railroad.

The bride is a graduate of the Neillsville High School and has been employed at Auto-Test, Inc.

Out of town guests attending the wedding were: Frank Maniak, John Walsh and family of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. L. Barud of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. John Tomsyck, Pittsville.

*note I changed the name to Smagacz from Smogacz that was in the paper, this ladies daughter said it always has been spelled Smagacz.
