Schwanebeck, Nona (Marriage - 4 June 1955)

Miss Nona Schwanebeck of Milwaukee and Edgar Wilde of Cedarburg were married Saturday June 4, 1955, in a double ring ceremony performed at 2:00 p.m. by the Rev. Alvin Moog at St. John’s Lutheran Church at Pittsville.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schwanebeck of Pittsville and Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Wilde of Cedarburg.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor-length dress of white tulle over satin with lace inserts in the skirts.  The lace bodice was featured with long lace sleeves that came to a point at the wrists and a scalloped neckline with a scalloped collar.  Her bouquet was a cascade of red roses and white carnations.  Rose buds and ferns fell in streamers from the bouquet.

Edna Wilde, cousin of he groom, was bridesmaid. The groom was attended by Kenneth Wilde and Ivan Schwanebeck.  Ushers were Wayne Schwanebeck and Armin Wilde.

Approximately 125 guests attended the reception at the home of the bride’s parents.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Wilde will be at home at Cedarburg after June 20 when they return from their wedding trip to Niagara Falls and Canada.

The bride is a graduate of the Pittsville High School and is employed in Milwaukee. The groom was graduated from the Cedarburg High School and also works in Milwaukee.
