Dux, Ida (Oct 4, 1911)
Zion church in the town of Pine Valley was the scene of a pretty
wedding Wednesday, Oct. 4, when Richard Hagedorn and Miss Ida Dux
were united in the holy bonds of matrimony by Rev. Reiff of
Granton. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Dux of
Pine Valley and is a handsome and refined young lady. The groom is
the son of Mrs. Mary Hagedorn, and is an industrious young
gentleman. Both these young people are held in high esteem by
all who know them.
11:30 the bridal party entered the church, marching up to the altar
to the strains of the wedding march, rendered by Miss Lizzie
Bloche. The bride wore a beautiful gown of cream colored
batiste, the usual dainty veil and carried a shower bouquet of
white roses. She was attended by her sister, Miss Emma Dux,
and Miss Lizzie Hagedorn, sister of the groom. The
bridesmaids were also gowned in cream and wore white
carnations. The groom wore a navy blue suit and was attended
by Herman Hoffman and Henry Quast.
After the sacred ceremony all repaired to the home of the bride where a bounteous wedding dinner and supper was served to many invited guests. The house and church were prettily decorated for the occasion. The happy couple will begin housekeeping at once at the groom’s home in Globe. We extend heartiest congratulations and may their pathway be ever strewn with roses is the wish of their many friends.
