Fitzl, Annette L. (19 APR 1955)

Miss Annette Louise Fitzl, daughter of Ed Fitzl of Butlerville (Clark Co., Wis.), and Mrs. Bonnie Benson of Stanley, became the bride of Pvt. 1st Class George Anderson, son of Homer Anderson of the Town of Wilson, in a simple ceremony performed by the Rev. Cecil Ward in the Methodist Parsonage, Stanley, on Tuesday evening, April 19, 1955, at six o’clock.

The bride chose a navy blue suit with matching accessories and a corsage of white carnations for her wedding.  She chose Mrs. Al Radke of Stanley, sister of the groom, as her only attendant, who also wore a navy blue suit with matching accessories and a corsage of roses.  Mr. Radke acted as his brother-in-law’s best man.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the groom’s aunt, Mrs. Henry Hanson, with about forty in attendance.  The lovely wedding cake, which centered the refreshment table, was baked by Mrs. George Podvin, great aunt of the groom.

The groom, who has been on a 30 day leave home from Okinawa, will return to his duties with the U.S. Army on April 30, and will again be stationed at Okinawa.  Mrs. Anderson will remain in Stanley.
