Stange, Bette Mae  (Aug. 31, 1946) (if paper published on Thursday)

In a pretty all-white wedding solemnized last Saturday morning in St. Anthony’s Catholic church at Athens, Miss Bette Mae Stange, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alois Stange, formerly of the town of Loyal, exchanged vows with Lawrence Rausch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Rausch of Athens.

As the r strains of "Midsummer Night’s Dream" sounded from the organ, the bride was escorted by her father to the gladiola and fern banked altar, where the double ring ceremony was read. The solemn nuptial mass was celebrated by the Rev. Norman Thomas assisted by the Rev. Father Lechler, serving as deacon, and the Rev Raymond Schultz as sub-deacon. The altar servers, Norbert Wigler, Mark Kaiser, Donald Regele, Roger Braun and Richard Berres are friends of the bridal couple.

Serving as attendants for the couple were Miss Kathleen Ann Stange, as maid of honor, Mrs. Joseph W. Bergs and Miss Adeline Raudsch sisters of the bride, and Miss Delores Riehle as bridesmaids. ; Miss Jerrilyn Decker, as flower girl, Donald Stange, brother of the bride, as best man, Joseph Bergs, Bernard Rausch, cousin of the bridegroom, Edward Bertz Jr. of Loyal, cousin of the bride, and Ray Brinkman, as groomsmen, and Warren Haas, cousin of the bridegroom, as ringbearer. Victor Stremier and Joseph Haas served as ushers.

About 26 guests were entertained throughout the day at a reception at the home of the bride’s parents. Dancing was enjoyed in the evening at the Prochnow ballroom after which the guests returned to the bride’s home for the cutting of the wedding cake.

Mrs Rausch, a graduate of Central State Teachers college in Stevens Point, has been teaching in the Whinton school in the town of Johnson, Wood county. The bridegroom is engaged in farming.

The Loyal Tribune extends to the young couple its wishes for happiness.
