Kocherer, Bertha M. (8 JAN 1900 - 1 DEC 1954)

 

Mrs. John Kocherer of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) passed away suddenly at the Victory Memorial Hospital at Stanley, on Wednesday morning, Dec. 1st, 1954.  She had reached the age of 54 years and 11 months.

 

Bertha Mary Splinter was born on Jan. 8, 1900 in Grant County.  She was married to John Kocherer at Thorp, Wis. and has been a resident of the town of Thorp until her death.

 

She is survived by her husband, Mr. John Kocherer, Thorp, Wis.; two sons, Clarence of St. Paul, Minn., Francis of Chicago, Ill.; three daughters, Dolores, Mrs. Leonard Krych; Romilda, Mrs. Donald Hassing, both of Chciago; and Anna Marie, Mrs. Michael Luzinski of St. Paul, Minn.; two brothers, Adrian Splinter of Rockford, Ill., and Clarence Splinter of Dubuque, Iowa, and 12 grandchildren.  One son, Alvin, of the U.S. Navy preceded her in death.

 

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. A. M. Muckerheide at St. Bernard’s Church in Thorp at 9:30 o’clock, Saturday morning, Dec. 4th with interment taking place in St. Bernard’s Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Paul Cukla, Imbert Qualheim, Laurence Heiting, Joe Kaminski, Imbert Reetz, and Joe DeRouin.
