Kittl, Michael (29 Sept. 1878 - 1 Dec. 1958) 
 

Funeral services for Michael Kittl, 80, who died Monday morning at St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield, where he was a patient for eight weeks, were held Wednesday morning. The Rev. Raymond B. Schulz officiated at a requiem high mass at St. Bernard’s Catholic church at 9:30 after which internment was made in the Abbotsford cemetery. A rosary service was held Tuesday evening at the Zink Funeral Home where the body lay in state. 
 

Pallbearers were Ed Feala, George Calmes, Frank Wiese, Clarence Klieforth, Clarence Dolan and Malcolm Lamont. 
 

Mr. Kittl was born Sept. 29, 1878 in Hungary and came to the United States in 1908. He lived in St. Louis, Mo., for about three years and then came to Wisconsin where he engaged in various occupations. He married Margaret Becker in St. Louis in 1909. About 1930, the family settled near Goodrich and 15 years ago came to Abbotsford. For the past few years, Mr. Kittl was a village employee. 
 

He is survived by his widow, three sons, Joseph, Elgin, Ill., Henry, Illinois; and Sgt. Anthony, U.S. Air Force, Salina, Kansas; four daughters, Sister (Barbara) Bernilda, Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc; Mrs. Walter (Elizabeth) Marthaler, Mrs. Chester (Helen) Marthaler, both of Goodrich, and Mrs. Francis (Mary) Wiese, Abbotsford. There are 27 grand children and six great grand children. 
 

One son, two grand children, his parents, two brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
