Hamann, Janice (Marriage - 2 Aug. 1958)

Miss Janice Hamann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Royal Hamann, became the bride of Ronald Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Brown, Route 1, Edgar, Saturday afternoon. The Rev. Frederick Kempfert officiated at the exchange of vows at St. John’s Lutheran church, Edgar, Wis.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown of Chantilly lace and sheer nylon tulle over satin. A lace profile cap, edged with pleated tulle, held the finger tip veil of imported illusion. She carried a bouquet of pink gladioli, white carnations and stephanotis.

Miss Carol Hamann was maid of honor and Miss Judy Hamann was flower girl for their sister. The Misses Miriam Brown, Joyce Hamann and Myrna Lay were bridesmaids.

Waltz length gowns of chiffon over taffeta and net with taffeta cummerbunds were chosen in aqua, yellow, green and orchid, for the bridal attendants and pink for the flower girl. They carried matching sprays of colored carnations.

Attending the groom were Carl Tetzke as best man, Kenneth Hamann, as usher, and Jerald Writz, as ring bearer. Bruce Wussow and Arthur Tigert seated the guests.

Miss Connie Remus, accompanied by Miss Edith Krampien, at the organ, sang, "The Lord’s Prayer," and "O, Perfect Love."

A reception at the home of the bride followed the ceremony and supper was served in the church dining room. In the evening, the new Mr. and Mrs. Brown greeted guests at a wedding dance at the Trianon ballroom.

The bride, a graduate of the Edgar high school, is employed at the First American State Bank at Wausau. The groom attended the Abbotsford and Edgar high schools. They will make their home on Route 1, Edgar.
