Klein, Katherine (Sept 17, 1853-Nov 22, 1910)
Mrs. William Klein died Tuesday of last week in a Milwaukee hospital where she had been taking treatment for a few weeks. The remains were brought here Wednesday and the funeral was held Friday from St. Mary’s Church in this city.
Mrs. Klein was born Katherine Becker in Germany and was 57 years of age on Sept. 17, last. She came to America at the age of 18 years, living at Milwaukee for 12 years, during which time she was united in marriage to Peter Horth. Twenty-seven years ago Mr. and Mrs. Horth came to Clark County. Mr. Horth died on Sept. 15. 1897. On Dec. 1, 1898, Mrs. Horth was married to Wm. Klein and they resided for the past twelve years in town of Grant. She is survived by her husband and son, Mike Klein, Paul and Marion Horth of Milwaukee, Mrs. Charles Radlinger of Milwaukee, Mrs. Jos. Heyderer of Marshfield and Margaret Horth, and by one brother, Peter Becker of Racine, and a brother and sister in Germany. Mrs. Klein was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Altar Society.
Mrs. Klein was a thoroughly good woman and lived a most exemplary life. She was a charitable and kindly lady and will be greatly missed by her circle of acquaintances.
