Kinas, Marcelle (18 MAY 1954)
Miss Marcelle Kinas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kinas, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and Mr. Robert Rubisch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rubisch, Vassar, Mich., were united in marriage at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church at Thorp, Wis. on Tuesday, May 18th. The Rev. Francis Piekarski read the marriage ceremony and performed the Nuptial Mass.
The bride, escorted up the aisle by her father, wore a floor length nylon tulle gown fashioned with a scoop neckline and short sleeves. The neckline was bordered with tiny seed pearls. The very full skirt was tiered with five rows of narrow Chantilly lace. The bride chose a pillbox crown which was also bordered with tiny seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of deep red roses and ivy.
The bride’s sister, Miss Virginia Kinas, Thorp, wore a Nile green nylon net floor length gown with matching bolero. Miss Marcelle Rosemeyer, Minneapolis, and Miss Rita Slupski, Thorp, were the other two bridesmaids and were dressed identically to the first bridesmaid. They carried bouquets of yellow daisies and ivy. Miss Paula Teclaw, Thorp, was the flower girl. She wore a Nile green dress made similar to that of the bride’s. She carried a basket of painted daisies.
The best man was Richard Rubisch, Milwaukee, brother of the groom. Mr. R. J. Nowack, Vassar, Mich., and Mr. Gay Brown, Vassar, Mich., were the groomsmen.
A reception was held at St. Hedwig’s Parish Hall following the ceremony.
After a trip through Northern Michigan and Canada the couple will make their home at Vassar, Mich.
