Anderson, Lulu (6 MAR 1896 - 12 MAY 1954)
Mrs. Elmer Anderson of Worden (Clark Co., Wis.) died at 10:30 o’clock Wednesday morning at Victory Memorial Hospital in Stanley after a lingering illness.
Funeral services were held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church at two o’clock Saturday with Rev. John Mason officiating. Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Anderson was born Lulu Kleinschmidt on March 6, 1896 in the town of Lynn, Clark County, the daughter of Leo and Anna Kleinschmidt, early pioneers who also were born and reared in the same township. She was graduated from the Wood County Normal at Wis. Rapids in June 1913. She taught in the rural schools of Clark County for nine years. On Sept. 28, 1922 she was married to Elmer Anderson of Stanley, at Marshfield. They lived on a farm in the town of Thorp until 1924 when they moved to their present farm in Worden.
Surviving are her husband, two sons, LaMoine and Robert of the Stanley country; one daughter, Arlene at home; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Leona Atley, Milwaukee and Mrs. Knute Christenson of Granton. Her parents, one brother and an infant son preceded her in death.
Mrs. Anderson was an active member of the County Line Woman’s Club, the Roger Creek Mother’s Club and a past president of the Lutheran Worden Aid.
