Westphal, Olivia V. "Libby" (Rueden) (August 14, 1925 - October 14, 2009) 

 
Olivia V. "Libby" Westphal, 84, Colby, formerly of the town of Holton, died Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.
 
 

She was born August 14, 1925, in Milwaukee, the daughter of George and Vera (Anderson) Rueden.   
 

The family then moved to the town of Holton where she attended Bruckerville grade school and later graduated from Dorchester High School.   
 

She married Vernon C. Westphal on October 16, 1943, in Milan. Vernon died December 9, 1974.   
 

She was a former member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Milan and a former member of Christ Lutheran Church in Abbotsford. 
 

She enjoyed a chance to shake dice and camping.   
 

She is survived by her children, Carol (Walter) Klimpke, Athens, and Beverly (Theodore Meier, Athens; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two brothers, George (Elaine) Rueden, Spencer and Russell (Dorothy) Rueden, Stetsonville.    
 

She was preceded in death by her parent; her husband, Vernon; a granddaughter; a sister Marilyn; and a brother Robert.   
 

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford. The Rev. Gayle Sowell will preside. Burial will follow in Abbotsford Public Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of services on Saturday at the funeral home in Abbotsford.
