Christensen, Annette "Ann" Ada (? - 6 October 2009)

 
Annette "Ann" Ada Christensen, 96, of St. Francis, Minnesota, passed away October 6, 2009 in Crystal Care Center, Crystal, Minnesota.

 

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 18, 2009 at Prairie Lutheran Church, 11000 Blossom Road, Eden Prairie, MN 55347.  Memorial contributions may be made to "Family of Annette Christensen", c/o Mary Jo Smith, 16708 Stirrup Lane, Eden Prairie, MN 55347

 

Born in Elgin, Illinois, Ann lived most of her adult life in Thorp Wisconsin, retiring in Ellenton, Florida at age 65.  She resided in Colony Cove with her husband Lyle "Corky" Christensen and moved to Minnesota to live with her daughter, Georgia, in 2005.

 
Ann was a retired Bank Officer and Secretary of the People’s Exchange Bank.  She belonged to the Methodist Church, sang in church and local choirs, bowled and golfed, skated, was an expert seamstress, knit, crocheted, did crafts and read daily.

 

She was loved dearly and will be missed by her surviving family: son, Nels Christensen of Vestal, NY; two daughters: Georgia Hansen of St. Francis, MN, and Mary Jo Smith (Pat) of Eden Prairie, MN; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle, in 2000.
