St. Theresa’s Catholic church in Westboro was the scene of the wedding of Miss Patricia Margaret Wheelock of Westboro and Mark Albert Pink of Racine at 10 o’clock on Saturday morning, June 29. The Rev. Arnold Meiring solemnized the nuptials.
The bride, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wheelock Sr. of Westboro, chose a formal gown of white ninon designed with a fitted bodice and bouffant skirt. Her long veil of net was attached to a crown set with seed pearls, and her bouquet was an arrangement of pink roses and carnations. For jewelry she wore a gold cross the groom had given her.
Maid of honor was the bride’s sister, Helen, who wore a blue gown of satin, with an overskirt of net. Mrs. L. J. Wheelock, as bridesmaid was attired in pink net. Both had gold cross necklaces and carried arm bouquets of red roses and pink and white carnations.
Clifford Wheelock was best man, and Lawrence Wheelock was groomsman.
A wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride’s parents for the bridal party and immediate relatives, and in the late afternoon 50 persons were guests at a wedding dinner.
The bride, who taught school at Westboro, is a graduate of Westboro high school and Central State Teachers college of Stevens Point. The groom, a son of Frank Pink of Auburndale, is a graduate of Rib Lake high school. He is employed as a machine operator by the Walker Mfg. Co. in Racine.
