Gross, Shirley  (25 JUNE 1946)

Miss Shirley Gross, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Gross of Loyal, and Elgy Clouse of Loyal, son of Ira Clouse of Marshfield, were united in marriage at 2 o’clock on June 25 at the Owen Gospel Tabernacle, with the pastor, H. E. Reigel, officiating at the double ring ceremony.

The bride wore a white street length dress with a white shoulder length veil, which was held in place by a flowered lace crown. She carried a shower bouquet of red and pink roses with blue and white streamers. She wore a gold heart-shaped locket, which was a gift of the groom.

Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Clouse were the couple’s only attendants. Mrs. Clouse wore an aqua colored suit of spun rayon and a shoulder corsage of red and pink roses.

The groom and his attendant wore dark blue suits and pink rose boutonnieres.

Their honeymoon was spent in southern Wisconsin and central Illinois, and the couple is residing on the groom’s farm, near Loyal.

The Loyal Tribune joins their many friends in wishing them a long and happy journey through life.
