Christensen, Audrey M. (Goldamer) (1918? - October 2, 2009) 
 

Audrey M. Christensen, age 91, a life-long resident of Abbotsford, passed away on October 2, 2009. She was the beloved wife of the late Harold K. Christensen and the beloved daughter of the late Meta and Albert Goldamer.

 
As the center of Abbotsford’s Christensen family, Audrey led the family with a quiet demeanor and an inner strength. Always putting her family first, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Audrey loved to cook, many enjoyed her homemade soups, she was an expert gardener, and she loved to travel.

 
Audrey is survived by daughter Mary (Walt) Turner of Hartland, WI, son Ken (Elaine) Christensen of Abbotsford, WI, daughter Carol (Myles) Tobin of Chicago, IL; five grandchildren, Andi (Randy) Oppmann, Brian Christensen, Scott Christensen, Kelly (Jeremiah) Buchholtz, Michelle Christensen; and four great-grandchildren, Andrew Oppmann, Adam Oppmann, Cassidy Christensen and Jack Buchholtz; one brother, Bob (Arlee) Goldamer, and one sister Elaine Speck.
 
 

Sister Ardis Cornelius and granddaughter Leigh Turner preceded Audrey in death.

 
On Tuesday, October 6, 2009 visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. with services following at 11:00 a.m. Both will be held at the Christ Lutheran Church, 308 West Linden Street, Abbotsford, WI. 54405.

 
Internment will take place at the Abbotsford Public Cemetery immediately following the church service.

 
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Audrey M. Christensen Memorial Fund for the betterment of Abbotsford, c/o Abby Bank, 401 East Spruce Street, Abbotsford, WI. 54405
