Burtard, Elaine H. (25 NOV 1954)

Now at home on a farm on route 2, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), are Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose A. Schuh, who were married on the afternoon of Thanksgiving Day in the rectory of St. Mary’s Catholic Church Colby.  The Rev. Vincent E. Schuh officiated at the 1:30 o’clock ceremony.

Principals included the former Miss Elaine Helen Burtard, daughter of the John Burtard’s, route 2, Owen, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Schuh, route 2, Colby.

Red roses arranged in a corsage added a note of color to the bride’s blue suit.  Her attendants, Miss Marie Schuh, Colby, a sister of the groom, also in a blue suit, as maid of honor and Mrs. Herbert Bloom, West Bend, a sister, of the bride, in a brown suit, both had white rose corsages pinned at their shoulder lines.

Attendants for the groom included his uncle, Walter Schuh, Milwaukee, as best man and Orville Burtard, West Bend, the bride’s brothers as groomsman.

Following the ceremony, the newlyweds greeted guests at a reception at the home of the bride’s parents before departing on a honeymoon in northern Wisconsin.  The groom, a graduate of Colby High School, is engaged in farming.
