Mitchell, Sonja (Marriage - 28 Jan. 1956) 
 

Miss Sonja Mitchell and George Nikolay exchanged marriage vows before a 10:00 o’clock nuptial mass Saturday morning at St. Paul’s University chapel at Madison. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Brown. 
 

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Mitchell, of Oxford, and the groom is the son of Mrs. Anna Nikolay, Abbotsford. 
 

Attending the couple were Mrs. Eugene Hess, of Milwaukee, and James Nikolay, of Abbotsford, sister and brother of the groom. 
 

For her wedding, the brides chose a blue suit with navy and white accessories and carried a lace covered white prayer book with a white orchid. 
 

The matron of honor wore navy accessories with a beige suit accented by a corsage of red roses. 
 

After a reception at Wing’s Inn at Madison, attended by about 25 guests, the bridal couple left on a wedding trip to Chicago. They are now at home at Oxford where the groom is principal of the Oxford high school. He is a graduate of Central State College, Stevens Point. His bride has been attending the University of Wisconsin. 
 

Guests at the wedding included Mrs. Anna Nikolay, Frank Nikolay, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Nikolay, Mr. and Mrs. James Nikolay, Mr. and Mrs. Royal Archambo and family, Jim Prough, Allan Schraufnagel, and Jerald Johnson, all of Abbotsford; Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Hess and family and Miss Anne Nikolay, Milwaukee, and relatives and friends from Oxford.
