Mitzlaff, Elsie (20 Apr. 1883 - 12 July 1955) 
 

Mrs. Elsie Mitzlaff, Milwaukee, died Tuesday morning, July 12, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Gebert, at Stetsonville. 
 

Mrs. Mitzlaff was visiting her daughter since May 12 and was ill for some time. The body is at the Zink Funeral Home. Services will be held in the Lutheran church at Abbotsford at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 15.

Funeral services for Mrs. Elsie Mitzlaff, 72, were held Friday afternoon, July 15, at two o’clock at the Christ Lutheran church with the Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiating. Internment was made in the town of Holton cemetery. 
 

The pall bearers were Walter Boss, George Schultz, Frank Schultz, Harry Olson, Anton Kramer and Henry Jacobi. 
 

The flowers were carried by the Misses Lois Jensen, Donna Gebert, Clarice and Audrey Beilfuss. 
 

Mrs. Elsie Mitzlaff, nee Schmidt, was born April 20, 1883, in Milwaukee. When she was two years old, her parents moved to a farm near Stetsonville. 
 

In 1904 she married Louis Mitzlaff and they lived on his farm in the Town of Holton. He died in 1941 and in 1946 Mrs. Mitzlaff moved to Milwaukee and made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Gordon Nolte. 
 

In May she came to visit and while at the home of another daughter, Mrs. John Gebert, Stetsonville, suffered several heart attacks and died in her sleep, Tuesday morning, July 12. 
 

Surviving her are four daughters, Mrs. John (Geraldine) Gebert, Stetsonville; Mrs. Chris (Beatrice) Jensen, Colby; Mrs. Rueben (La Verna) Platterter, Iowa City, Iowa; and Mrs. Gordon (Adeline) Nolte, Milwaukee. One sister, Mrs. Emil (Clara) Weitzmann, and 14 grand children also survive. 
 

Relatives attending the funeral services besides the family came from Milwaukee, Medford, Stetsonville and Colby.
