Peterson, Adolph (10 Mar. 1877 - 29 June 1955)  
 

Adolph Peterson, 78, died at his home, Wednesday afternoon, June 29, after a long illness. The body is lying in state at the Zink Funeral Home where services will be held Saturday afternoon, at 2:00 o’clock. Burial will be made in the Curtiss cemetery.  
 

Adolph Peterson was born March 10, 1877, in Clark county and when only three days old, was adopted by Martin Peterson. He was educated in Clark county and was married to Carrie Hickok, May 14, 1902, at Stanley. 
 

Mr. Peterson worked as a carpenter and later as a cheese maker, operating his own cheese factory at Baronette for three years. In the fall of 1918, they moved back to Abbotsford and have lived here until his death. For about five years, he worked at the Northland Henneries.  
 

Surviving are his widow, four daughters and six sons: Mrs. George (Viola) Davidson, San Jose, Calif., Mrs. E. V. (Dorothy) Daggett and Mrs. (Ray) Evelyn Engel, Chippewa Falls; Mrs. Verland (Ruth) Schorer, Jim Falls; Leonard, Tomah; George, Marshfield; George Russell, Mayville; Gerald, Chicago; Harold, address unknown; and Kenneth, at home. There are 15 grand children and one great grand child.  
 

Mr. Peterson has one brother, Ed Glenzer, Bellevue, Wash.

Funeral services for Adolph Peterson, who died June 29 following a heart attack during a long illness, were held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Zink Funeral Home. The Rev. Bruce Hanks of Chippewa Falls officiated.  
 

Pallbearers for the internment made in the Curtiss cemetery were Ed Stock, Hans Amacher, Arvid Carlson, Martin Larson, George Greaser and Carl Kreklau. 
 

Relatives from away who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. E. V. Daggit and son, Bob, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Engel, Chippewa Falls; Arley Engel, Racine; George Peterson, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Verland Schorer and family, Jim Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Peterson and daughter, Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. G. R. E. Peterson, Mayville, Ky.; Mrs. Lena Arnes, Shell Lake; Mrs. Estelle Henderson of Milwaukee, and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Olson, Baronette.
