Jake Hauser, 53, Colby, died Thursday at his home. He had been in poor health since last August.  
 

Mr. Hauser was born April 14, 1901, in Juda, Green county, and received his education in Wood county. On April 14, 1926, he was married to Elsie Meyers in Milwaukee. After their marriage, the couple moved to a farm south of Colby, where they lived until 1934, when they moved to the city of Colby.  
 

He was employed at the Harmony Co-op Products Company for ten years, ran a gas delivery, and worked at the Colby Milling, Inc. The past few years he worked for the Streckert Manufacturing Company at Abbotsford.  
 

Surviving are his wife; a son, James, Colby, a daughter, Mrs. John (Beverly) Dittner, Marshfield; four brothers, seven sisters, and two grand sons.
