Jensen, Audrey M. (1 MAY 1954)

In an exchange of wedding vows in Nazareth Lutheran Church, Withee, at 1 o’clock Saturday afternoon, Miss Audrey Marie Jensen and David Kienholz, both of Chicago, were united in marriage by Rev. W. Clayton Nielsen.  Appropriate organ music was provided during the service by Miss Louis Hansen, Withee, and Mrs. Albert Peterson present vocal selections.

Seated in the front pews for the services were parents of the couple, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Jensen, Chicago, and Mrs. Astrid H. Kienholz, Stanley.

A Chantilly lace packet covered the snug fitting bodice of the nylon tulle gown worn by the bride who was presented in marriage by her father.  The handkerchief skirt was lace edged.  A deep band of lace edged the fingertip veil that was secured to a crown trimmed with sequins and rhinestones.  She carried a cascade arrangement of white carnations and lilies of the valley.

The matron of honor, Mrs. Louis May, Chicago, a cousin of the bride, donned a shrimp colored nylon tulle and lace gown.  The gown, which was worn with a lace jacket, also featured a handkerchief skirt.  She carried a cascade bouquet of blue carnations.

A bouquet of shrimp colored carnations was carried by Mrs. Eileen Johnson, Withee, bridesmaid, who was attired in a glacier blue frock designed like the matron of honor’s.

Attendants for the groom were his brothers, Gale M. Kienholz, as best man, and Robert A. Kienholz, both of Stanley, a groomsman.  His cousin, David G. Stenstrom and Gust Stenstrom, both of Cleveland, Ohio, were ushers.

The bride’s mother viewed her daughter’s wedding in a pale blue dress accented with navy blue accessories.  Mrs. Kienholz selected a navy blue ensemble with pink accessories.  Red roses composed their corsages.

Following the service a dinner was served in the parish hall, which was also the scene of the reception.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Kienholz are now on a honeymoon in northern Wisconsin and Minnesota, and upon their return they will take up residence in Chicago, where they are employed at Bell and Howell.  The bride is a graduate of Owen High School (Clark Co., Wis.), while her husband is a graduate of Stanley High School.

Guests from out of town came from Chicago, Grand Forks, N.D., Cleveland, Ohio; Waukegan, Ill., Stanley, Neillsville, Eau Claire, Appleton, Wausau and Colby.
