Prohaska, Mary Ann (18 OCT 1952)

Miss Mary Ann Prohaska, daughter of Fritz Prohaska, Medford, became the bride on Saturday of Victor M. Borgemoen, son of Mrs. Manda Borgemoen, Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.).  The marriage took place in the rectory of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford, with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Gregory Reuter officiating.

Attendants to the bride included her sister, Mrs. Carl Jakel, matron of honor, with the groom’s sister-in-law, Mrs. Marvel Borgemoen as bridesmaid.

The bride’s brother-in-law, Carl Jakel, was best man, and the groom’s brother, Marvel, acted as groomsman.

The bride’s gown of white slipper satin and Chantilly lace was fashioned with a lace bodice and long lace sleeves which tapered at the wrists and fastened with lace covered buttons.  Her gown buttoned down the back to the waist with a wide spread pointed collar finishing the neckline.  The skirt consisted of white satin, with an overskirt of Chantilly lace and satin panels.  Her Chantilly lace cap trimmed with seed pearls and bead secured the fingertip veil of imported silk illusion.  The bride carried a cascade bouquet of white carnations tied with white lacelon ribbon.

The matron of honor and bridesmaid were dressed alike in gowns of Alice blue and sunrise coral satin, styled with fitted bodices topped by Peter Pan collars and full gathered skirts.  They wore elbow length gloves to complement their gowns.  Their matching hats were styled with sweetheart brims, which were ruffled with an overlay of net and streamers.  Danity floral bouquets trimmed them.  Their bouquets were comprised of blue and shrimp colored carnations.

A reception and dinner were held in the auditorium of the Holy Rosary School.

Mrs. Borgemoen is a graduate of the Medford High School and St. Joseph’s School of Nursing.  She has been employed at St. Joseph’s Hospital since graduation.  Mr. Borgemoen was graduated from the Colby High School and is employed by the Bowen Trucking Service.

The couple will reside in Curtiss after they return from a honeymoon trip through southern Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa.
