Roix, Bonnie L. (12 JUL 1952)

Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Longwood, provided the setting at 1:30 Saturday afternoon when Miss Bonnie Lucile Roix, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Roix, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Louis V. Kermitz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Marvin, Wis. Rapids.  The Rev. Marcus Egge officiated at the double ring ceremony.

The bride chose a gown of white slipper satin with a lace bodice and lace and net overskirt fashioned with long sleeves coming to a point over the wrist.  She wore a fingertip veil with a hand painted net border and carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations.

Miss Crystal Roix, a sister of the bride, served as maid of honor.  Her orchid gown featured a lace bodice with a Peter Pan Collar and cap sleeves.  She wore a matching ruffled headpiece and carried a bouquet of pink, yellow and white gladiolas.

The two bridesmaids, Miss Geraldine Roix, another sister of the bride, of Owen, and Miss Barbara Piece, Marshfield, wore Nile green gowns and headpieces styled exactly like that of the maid of honor.  They also carried bouquets of gladiolas.

Donna Jean DeLeske, a cousin of the bride, was attired in a pink organdy frock with a scalloped yoke and matching pink headpiece when she served as flower girl.  She carried a basket of red roses and white carnations.

Attending the groom were Richard Polansky, Wis. Rapids, as best man, and William Mras and Bryce Anunson, both of Wis. Rapids, as groomsmen.  Robert and Arthur Doege served as ushers.

The bride’s mother chose a navy blue dress with white accessories while the mother of the groom wore a green and white dress with white accessories.  Both wore identical corsages of white carnations.

The bride, a graduate of Marshfield Senior High, has been employed by J.F. Pinion, Marshfield, while the groom, who graduated from the Wis. Rapids High School is employed by Biron Consolidated.  After a honeymoon in Indiana, they plan to live in Wis. Rapids.

Guests at the wedding were from Milwaukee, Stanley, Owen, Withee, Thorp, Greenwood, Indiana, Minnesota, Wis. Rapids and Marshfield.
