Wollum Judith A. #2 (21 JUN 1952)

The First Congregational Church, city, was the scene of a lovely wedding ceremony Saturday afternoon, June 21st, 1952, when Miss Judith Ann Wollum became the bride of Mr. John Sabol.  The couple repeated the nuptial vows after Rev. Arthur Meinhardt in a double ring ceremony performed at four o’clock.

Entering the church on the arm of her father, H. M. Wollum, who gave her in marriage, she approached the rest of the bridal group wearing a wedding gown of illusion pink nylon net and carrying a bouquet of pink roses.  Her attendants, Mrs. William Wollum, a sister-in-law, maid of honor; bridesmaid, Miss Lee Koss, and junior bridesmaids, Billie Jean Wollum and Kathryn Sabol, wore gowns of pink organdy.  All carried similar corsages of pink and white roses.

Serving the bridegroom as best man was William Sellar of Chicago, Ill., and the groomsman Leonard Austerlade, also of Chicago.  William Wollum, city, and Marvin Wollum, Princeton, Ill., brothers of the bride, and George Sabol, brother of the bridegroom, served as ushers.

For the occasion the bride’s mother wore a gown of toast brown while the bridegroom’s mother wore a gown of navy blue.  Both had white corsages.

During the ceremony Eugene Koplitz san "I Love Thee", "The Lord’s Prayer" and "Because," being accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Arthur Meinhardt.

Large baskets of summer flowers decorated both the church and the dining parlors where a reception was held immediately after the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Wollum, city (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.), a graduate of the Owen High School and attended the University of Wisconsin.  She had been employed in Chicago for the past year, being associated with the Lansing B. Warner Insurance Co.  Her husband is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Sabol, Chicago, Ill., and is an insurance broker with the Royal Liverpool Group out of Chicago.

Following a honeymoon trip through northern Wisconsin the couple will return to Chicago, where they will reside at 5629 Maplewood Avenue.
