Zielinski, Irene G. (20 June 1909 - 27 June 2009) 
 

Irene G. Zielinski, 100, of Owen, died Saturday, June 27, 2009, at Our Lady of Victory Hospital in Stanley. 
 

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Owen. The Rev. Benjamin Franklin will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Neillsville at 2 p.m. Thursday. Pallbearers will be John Weiler, Rick, Roger, Rodney, Ralph and Roy Koplitz. 
 

Irene was born June 20, 1909, to John and Mary (Klinke) Kubat. She received her education at St. Mary's School in Neillsville, and graduated from Neillsville High School. Irene was a hard worker; she worked at Griebenow Hardware in Owen, Scotch's Department Store in Owen and at Owen Canning Factory as a Floor Lady while being married to Paul Bladl. In addition, she was secretary for their plumbing and heating business. Paul passed away Nov. 27, 1987, after 62 years of marriage. She married Joseph Zielinski on Jan. 23, 1993. Joseph passed away Feb. 21, 2001. She was an active member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and St. Mary's Circle. 
 

She enjoyed cooking and baking and supported all school fundraisers with her tasty creations during the years her children were in school. After her children graduated, she continued to share her love of baking with neighbors, friends and family. 
 

She is lovingly survived by her two children, Patricia (Bladl) Koplitz of Colby and Paul J. (Bernadette) Bladl Jr. of Lewisville, Texas, and her grandchildren Rick (Kris) Koplitz, Randy (Joanne) Koplitz, Rita Koplitz (Chuck Nelson), Roger Koplitz, Rodney (Dawn) Koplitz, Ramona (John) Weiler, Roy (Jill) Koplitz, Ralph (Jan) Koplitz, Pamela VanTersch, Susan (Rob) Walden, and Michael (Cynthia) Bladl. She will be missed by great-grandchildren, Marquita, Zachary, Matthew, Shawna, Sunshine (Dave), Kalan, Michelle, Marcus, Danielle, Tanya (Ben), Krista, Brad, Richard, Kayla, Jessie, Paul, Ashley, Carson; great-great-grandchildren, Crystal, Austin, and Jessie, and one sister, Marie (Norman) Lynch. She is preceded in death by her parents; and Paul Bladl Sr., Joe Zielinski and Nancy Bladl. 
 

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorials to the family to be used in Irene's name at a later date.
