Wibben, Lyle (March 30, 1928 - June 10,
2009)
Lyle Wibben, 81, Shreveport, LA, died Wednesday,
June 20, 2009.
He
was born in Abbotsford on March 30, 1928, to Nicholas and Emma
Wibben.
He
was a resident of Shreveport, LA, and a member of Our Savior
Lutheran Church where he was an active member in choir with the
barber shop chapter.
He
retired after 33 years fro Bell South, as central officer
foremen.
He
served in the US Army Air Corps.
He
is survived by his wife, Patsy Wibben; a sister, Shirley; a son,
Nick (Gayle) Wibben; two daughters, Jill (Rev. Michael) Welmer;
Kelly (Edward) Brennen; six grandchildren; and six
great-grandchildren.
He
was preceded in death by his parent; and seven
siblings.
Funeral services were held June 13 at Christ
Lutheran Church, Shreveport, LA with Rev. Perry Culver and Rev.
Michael Wilmer presiding.
Any memorials may be sent to the church in Lyle’s memory.
