Hause, Doloris Ruth (Marriage - 21 June
1952)
Miss Doloris Ruth Hause daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Louis Hause of Neillsville, became the bride of Warren Leslie Van
Kirk, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Van Kirk of Humbird, at a double
ring ceremony performed at 2:30 o’clock, Saturday, June 21,
at the Evangelical and Reformed Church of Neillsville. Large
baskets of white gladioli and blue delphinium decorated the
church.
The
bride, who was given in marriage by her father, chose a gown of
white taffeta covered with bouffant tulle and appliquéd with
Chantilly lace. The veil of fingertip length had a crown of
seed pearls. Her flowers were white orchids surrounded by a
shower of stephanotis.
The
bride was attended by Miss Barbara Ann Van Kirk, sister of the
groom, as maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Grace Sholz,
cousin of the bride, and Roselyn Stiemke, a friend of the
bride.
The
groom was attended by Norman Hause, brother of the bride. The
ushers were Glenn Roberts and Marvin Aumann.
David Hause, a brother of the bride, was the ring
bearer and Bonnie Lou Seelow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis
Seelow, was the flower girl.
The
organ was played by Gail Ludovic; Ellis Wall
sang.
A
reception was held at the Merchants Hotel for 300 guests. Vases of
pink, blue and white flowers decorated the table and other flowers
surrounded the cake.
The
bride was graduated from the Neillsville High School with the class
of ’49 and has been employed by Mrs. A. E. Russell of
Neillsville for the last four years.
The
groom was graduated from the Humbird Public School and has since
been engaged in farming.
The
guests at the wedding included friends and relatives from La
Crosse, Sparta, Athens, Milwaukee, Pewaukee, Green Bay, Shawano,
Marshfield, Granton, Humbird, Spencer and
Woodland.
The couple left for a wedding trip to southern Wisconsin and will be at home at Humbird after June 28.
